I know\u2026 Before you say it, I do know\u2026 What\u2019s more, I agree, too, that pictures would enhance my story posts, but there is somewhat of a problem with that\u2026 Between my fat fingers and my non-techno tendencies, I have thus far been unable to figure out how to post them.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve spent untold hours dutifully following directions, trying this and that\u2026 All I have to show for my Herculean efforts are frayed nerves, a tired typing finger, and frustration the extent of which I haven\u2019t felt since that fateful day back in first grade\u2026<\/p>\n
See, I had decided to just skip school following afternoon recess. Good plan, and I did get away with it\u2026 well, part of it. The school never missed me or reported my absence, but\u2026 This was before Santa Clause had brought me that Hopalong Cassidy watch I could have sorely used, and, well\u2026 I sort of miss-judged the time, and I arrived home well after the usual time\u2026<\/p>\n
\u2018You had to stay-in after school, didn\u2019t you!\u201d, my mother sternly inquired. \u201cWhat were you being punished for?\u201d, she continued\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cNo ma\u2019am,\u201d I honestly responded\u2026 \u201cDon\u2019t lie to me, young man! Telling a lie is worse than acting-up in class! Wait \u2018til your dad gets home!!!\u201d What should I tell them? Now for a six-year-old, this was a pretty doggone confusing conundrum to confront! Well, posting pictures for me is every bit as perplexing\u2026<\/p>\n
I have started to take more shots of the incredible sights I\u2019ve been cruising by lately. And, I am traveling with Troutdude (Dr. T. – more about that later); and, he does know how to make those thousand word substitutes magically appear in a post\u2026<\/p>\n
Perhaps we can negotiate some sort of tutorial arrangement\u2026 So, don\u2019t give up entirely on me just yet\u2026 But, I must confess that the prospects do appear to be rather dim at present\u2026 I\u2019m not optimistic.<\/p>\n
It isn\u2019t just the failures on this board that have been driving me bonkers, either\u2026 SmokinJoe has been after me for several years to get on Facebook and post pics there. He has assured me it is so simple, even I could do it\u2026 Not so fast there, Joe! Apparently, he doesn\u2019t fully realize who he\u2019s dealing with here\u2026<\/p>\n
He set me up on FB a week or so ago, when Troutdude and I met-up in God\u2019s Country for the ride to InZane\u2026 Joe even went so far as to show me exactly which places to touch, press, pound, and curse, and stuff did mysteriously do as he said it would. When he did it, that is\u2026 A day later and nothing worked for me as it had for him!!! I got so frustrated, I \u2018un-friended\u2019 myself and loudly proclaimed that Mark Zuckerberg could KMA!!!<\/p>\n
\u2018Dr. T\u2019, sensing my frustration and extreme emotional distress, came to the rescue! He gave me a prescription, and I must state emphatically that it turned out to be just what I needed\u2026 and it worked a near miracle, too!<\/p>\n
Several hours after we rejoined our sort of partially planned trek on a very nice route through Colorado the following day, we came upon the Red Rock Diner\u2026 and Apothecary\u2026 While Dennis ordered a more traditional breakfast meal, I ordered sweet tea to drink\u2026 and a double order of bacon, as called for in the prescription! Nothing else.<\/p>\n
Yep, six slices of that wonderful gift from our Maker to us mortals\u2026 and a noticeable improvement in my behavior manifest itself immediately! That prescription is re-fillable, too! Ol\u2019 Dr. T really knows his stuff, and I\u2019m confident a full recovery is in my near-term future\u2026 Well, dependent upon whether I try to tackle tech stuff again too soon\u2026<\/p>\n
We haven\u2019t started negotiations for that tutorial yet, as we both agree I should let my \u2018medicine\u2019 continue to aid me in recovery. This morning, for example, the motel provided bacon as part of its breakfast offering\u2026 Yep, a few scrambled eggs and one biscuit all covered with sausage gravy, and half a pound or so of that most delightful, curative, medicinal swine part\u2026 I\u2019ve felt better today than any other day of our entire trip so far!<\/p>\n
I\u2019m not making any promises here\u2026 Heck, I\u2019m not even willing to speculate on the prospects or however remote they may be\u2026 but\u2026 It is within the realm of possibly, though a stretch to say it is within the realm of probability, that one day soon\u2026<\/p>\n
On second thought, I\u2019m not going to risk jinxing anything by actually saying it, but\u2026 you know\u2026 If you have a rabbit\u2019s foot handy, you might want to stroke it some for the next several days\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
